First off, I feel I should say…please remember this is a personal blog. And it is meant to provide me with an outlet to vent when I have bad days, or rave when I have good ones, or to just talk about nothing when I want to. It would be highly presumptive for anyone to judge me/my character on this content alone without having met me, and most especially on my sole blog entry.
Now, moving on. I registered for summer classes today and I’m so excited! First session I’m taking JEM 400 (journalism law) and Spanish…not very thrilling.
BUT second session I’m studying abroad! I’m getting 4 hours of credit for an English class on plays/Shakespeare. We’re spending a week in Stratford England and then two in London. I’m hoping I can save enough money to travel around Europe for a week or so after the program ends.
Since I’m graduating early I really never thought I would get the opportunity to study abroad, so being able to now only makes me appreciate it more.
It does seem surreal, though. I’m not sure I’ll really believe it until I have a plane ticket in hand ready to board.
This will be my second trip to England. Although I have been before I was in 7th/8th grade and I don’t remember much about it. Except that it was cold and rainy and I did not dress weather-appropriate.
Wish I could write longer. But I have a paper I need to write in the next 45 minutes.
Today should be a good, relatively short day.
All the UT TV shows are cancelled, which is one less thing I have to do tonight. And Hopefully classes will go by fast. I am hoping to motivate myself to work out again today; the 5K is only four weeks away and I’m nowhere near ready!
Enchiladas/Mexican rice/chips and salsa tonight.
