So it is OBVIOUSLY the most important story of the week. My Auburn Tigers are officially National Champions after a perfect season. The game was tight and I was super nervous…just standing inches in front of the t.v. for the last minutes. I have already ordered my National Championship gear, and can’t wait to sport my Auburn pride. For now, here’s a video from Toomer’s Corner. In case you’re unfamiliar, Toomer’s Corner is in downtown Auburn and the tradition is that after every football win (or if something big happens on campus occasionally) Toomer’s Corner is t-p’d. Toilet-papered. It’s awesome and look at the damage after the National Championship! (Around the :40 mark)
SNOW
6 FebSo we are currently having an EPIC snowstorm…
This is just the view from the street in front of the house. It really doesn’t look that bad, but that’s only because they’ve plowed the roads incessantly since 3 a.m. (I know, I woke up to it!).
I haven’t blogged in a while. Honestly, nothing too interesting has happened. Very quick update: job is good, I am finally getting more responsibilities and am starting to know what actually goes on, etc. My boss is so nice–he gave us all the day off on Friday, and brought us cookies! I have couple of new friends that live in the house and are interns at the State Department, and the job hunt continues! My goal is to have a job lined up before I leave D.C. That might not happen, but it sure would take a lot of stress off if it did!
Here are some random photos from around D.C. There are four photos at the end from earlier today, and I will probably add more as the weekend goes on…

I’ve also taken shot a very quick/rough video with my Flip cam…it was really shot for my mom….so…not exactly Sundance material.
Women
30 MarI stumbled across these videos on YouTube the other day. Actually one of them (the first one I think) my teacher showed us in class. I knew that Photoshop was amazingly deceitful, but I really had no idea.
I can use pretty basic Photoshop, but that’s about all. I couldn’t do the stuff they’re showing in the videos.
Although, honestly, I wish I could. By definition, I am supposed to have one of the most UN-PERFECT faces…ever.
Normally, beauty is seen in people with proportionate features, and with perfectly symmetrical faces. (Because of scoliosis I have…hmm…NONE of these).
Anyway, it would be kind of cool to be able to that and see what I would look like, had I been born, “normal.”
I should say, though…this is purely out of interest. For the first time in a long time I’m feeling all around good about life, etc.
And I would never NOT have scoliosis (if I could go back in time). It’s given me a priceless perspective. One I wish I could adequately share with women struggling with body image. It’s really hard to describe, though.
It’s issues like this, and videos like the ones below that make me want to go into social work. Not involving children (ew–could you imagine me doing that?!) but teens or women. I’m really interested in sex education, body image awareness, etc.
Haha, what kind of job could I get (with my degree) like that??
Anyway, this is getting a bit deep for a blog, and I was supposed to be at TVC…oh, 6 minutes ago…which I REALLY don’t want to go to…but I have to.
I’m super excited to go to Lafollette this weekend. It’s a field trip for my adv. photo class and it’s gonna be awesome. Breakin’ out the Cranium!!

I have had these songs for a while now, and they are some of my favorites. I love music that, when you listen to it, you can imagine yourself anywhere but where you are. It’s amazing how music can do that.
I might write more about some of my favorites later, but for now I’m tired and I think I’m going to bed. Although I have said that now like five times and yet here I am, still sitting on the couch.
I am extremely excited about not having to get up tomorrow at 7 a.m. to let a dog out. And even more excited because I can sleep without getting woken up by barking later in the day and a wet nose on my arm.
Spring Break has been pretty relaxing, but I am ready to be around people again. I feel pretty isolated right now…none of my friends were in town (it is crazy to realize that we have all, or most of us, have moved on from what used to be our home).
Seriously. I am going to bed. Now.
